We carry around  images and feelings of important people in our lives (it’s like comfortable baggage):  their power and influence comes to us at different times, for very different reasons, and mostly in very private ways. I want you to know that your dad is and will always be part of my life. He was important to me as a real friend and buddy, and a guy who knew how to treat people right.  His passing is a loss to humanity.
